My Anti bullying T-shirt - Outstanding

 Hi 😁 

In Nga Tangata 2 we have been learning how to be an upstander and not a bystander these are the definitions for upstander and bystander .

 An upstander is a person who speaks or acts in support of an individual or cause, particularly someone who intervenes on behalf of a person being attacked or bullied. 

And a bystander is a person who is present at an event or incident but does not take part. even if the event is bad .

Being an upstander can be hard sometimes . I've made a t-shirt to show my learning and promote being an upstander. Here is my t-shirt . I wonder if other schools had a pink shirt day? Please leave me a comment if I could improve on anything or if I could have done something better .

In the science room today we are listing what kind of equipment we are going to be using here they are . We have to put in the equipment name and what it is used for here it is : 

Equipment name :  Test Tube 

Use : Smaller than a boiling tube and is used for mixing liquids and are used for general science

 Equipment name : Beaker 

Use : 3 main sises there is always measuring lines on the side 

Equipment name : Conical flask 

Use : Narrow neck always made of glass used for heating liquids

Equipment name : Bunsen burner 

Use : Used for burning and heating things up used with a heat proof mat and a tripod

• Don't run in the science room 
• Don't Eat or drink in the science room 
• Be sensible in the science room 
• Put your bag under the desk 
• Don't taste anything if you are unsure of the science room 
• Listen to the teachers if your in the science room

Why are masks used in theater ?

In drama this week we had to research why masks were used in theater 5 reasons 5 masks . Here are my 5 reasons and 5 masks enjoy

•  To allow the actor to use controlled body movement, even as simple as a turn of the head, to express emotion.
• Masks have been used almost universally to represent characters in theatrical performances.
• To act as different people such as people with different genders . 
• To act as animals like foxes and bears . 
• Actors wore masks so that the audience may see the facial expression clearly, allow them to tell the characters apart and make the theme of the story (comedy or tragedy) clearly obvious to the spectators.
